Vertical Molding Machine
The Vertical Molding Machine is a fully automatic molding system featuring vertical parting and double-face sand compaction (or air-precompaction + squeeze), engineered for high-volume, high-efficiency casting production. With the pattern mounted vertically and flasks closing from top to bottom, the mold cavity forms along the vertical axis—ideal for small-to-medium, complex-geometry castings with uniform wall thickness, such as engine blocks, brake discs, pipe fittings, and pump/valve housings in gray iron, ductile iron, or steel. Capable of 300–600 molds per hour, it serves as the cornerstone of modern green and smart foundries.
Working Principle
Sand Filling: Pre-metered sand drops into upper and lower flasks.
Pre-Compaction (optional): High-pressure air flows through the sand for initial uniform distribution.
Double-Sided Squeeze: Upper and lower rams apply synchronized pressure (80–150 bar) to form molds with high hardness (HB 90–95) and excellent repeatability.
Pattern Withdrawal & Closing: The pattern strips vertically; the top flask flips 180° and aligns precisely with the bottom flask.
Automatic Transfer: Closed molds are conveyed via roller tables or robots to the pouring station.
