Fully Automatic Horizontal Molding Line
The Fully Automatic Horizontal Molding Line is a continuous sand molding system based on horizontal parting and high-pressure squeeze or air-impact compaction, engineered for high-volume, high-speed production of gray iron, ductile iron, and steel castings—such as engine blocks, brake drums, pump/valve housings, and pipe fittings. Fully integrating automatic sand filling, high-pressure compaction, fast pattern withdrawal, mold closing, pouring, cooling, shakeout, and sand reclamation, it enables near "lights-out" operation with a capacity of 400–800 molds per hour, representing the benchmark of modern smart foundries.
Core Process Flow
Molding: Upper and lower flasks are filled simultaneously and compacted via high-pressure squeeze (≥1.2 MPa) or air-impact + multi-cylinder pressing to form molds with hardness HB 90–95 and high dimensional accuracy.
Coating & Core Setting (optional): Robots apply coatings and insert cores automatically.
Closing: Robotic arms align and close upper/lower flasks with ±0.1 mm precision.
Automatic Pouring: Servo-controlled pouring furnace delivers precise molten metal weight.
Controlled Cooling: Chain or roller conveyor provides stress-relief cooling.
Shakeout & Reclamation: Vibratory shakeout separates castings; spent sand is crushed, magnetically separated, screened, cooled, and recycled at ≥95% rate.
