Product Description of Y995 Permanent Magnetic Separator
The Y995 Series Permanent Magnetic Separator is a high-performance self-developed magnetic removal system, widely used in foundry sand reclamation (resin, sodium silicate, shell sand), bulk material handling, recycled sand, building materials, and metallurgy industries. It efficiently and continuously removes ferrous contaminants—such as gating scraps, bolts, steel shot, and iron chips—from material flow, protecting downstream equipment and improving sand purity and casting quality.
Featuring high-grade NdFeB permanent magnets in a multi-pole magnetic circuit design, the Y995 generates a surface magnetic field of ≥8,000 Gauss (0.8 T), effectively capturing even small ferrous particles (≥Φ2mm). The unit operates without power, energy consumption, or maintenance, delivering zero operating cost and eco-friendly continuous iron removal.
The Y995 is a critical component for sand cleanliness in modern green and smart foundries, enabling efficient, safe, and sustainable production.
Working Principle
Material Conveying
Spent sand or granular material containing ferrous contaminants is fed uniformly into the inlet zone via belt conveyor, vibratory feeder, or chute.

Magnetic Separation
As material passes through the high-intensity magnetic zone, ferrous contaminants are strongly attracted and held on the stainless steel separation belt, while non-magnetic material (sand, aggregate) flows forward under gravity and inertia.
Automatic Iron Discharge
The moving belt carries captured metal to the non-magnetic zone (end of magnetic circuit), where contaminants automatically release and fall into the collection bin, enabling continuous, uninterrupted iron removal.
Fully Enclosed Operation
Fully enclosed housing prevents dust emission. Inlet/outlet can be flexibly connected to existing conveyors, supporting multiple mounting options (inclined, horizontal, overhead).
