Permanent Magnetic Drum Separator for Magnetic Materials

The S954 Permanent Magnetic Drum Separator is a high-efficiency dry magnetic separator designed for continuous, automatic removal of ferromagnetic contaminants—such as iron filings, bolts, steel shot, and mill scale—from bulk materials. Widely used in foundry sand reclamation lines, metallurgical slag processing, construction aggregate recycling, and chemical raw material purification, it effectively protects downstream crushers, screens, mixers, and conveyors while enhancing the quality and purity of reclaimed materials.

Bulk material is evenly fed onto the surface of a slowly rotating non-magnetic drum. Inside, a stationary high-performance permanent magnet assembly (NdFeB + ferrite hybrid array) generates a strong magnetic field (≥3500 Gauss surface intensity). Ferromagnetic particles are captured on the drum surface, carried past the magnetic zone, and automatically released into a dedicated collection chute. Non-magnetic material falls freely by gravity—enabling efficient, continuous, and fully automatic separation.

Foundry: Installed after spent sand crushing and before reclamation to remove residual steel shot, iron nodules, and gating fragments—ensuring high-purity reclaimed sand.
Metallurgy: Recovers ferrous metals from steel, aluminum, or copper slag while purifying the final residue.
Recycling: Efficiently separates ferrous metals in C&D waste or e-waste shredding lines.
Chemical/Ceramics: Purifies quartz sand, kaolin, or feldspar to meet stringent iron-content specs (e.g., <50 ppm).
