S37 Impact Sand Crusher
The S37 Impact Sand Crusher is a high-efficiency spent sand crushing machine specially designed for foundry applications. It is primarily used to break down compacted or lumped spent sand (e.g., clay-bonded, resin-bonded, or sodium silicate sand) discharged from shakeouts, sand bins, or conveyors into loose particles with a size of ≤30 mm, ensuring uniform and free-flowing feed for downstream processes such as cooling, screening, reclamation, and mixing.
Featuring a high-speed rotating impact plate + fixed anvil liner crushing mechanism, the S37 offers compact design, high capacity (30–50 t/h), and reliable operation—widely used in medium-to-large foundries for automotive, rail, ductile iron pipe, and heavy equipment manufacturing.
Working Principle
Feeding: Compacted spent sand enters the crushing chamber through the top inlet.
High-Speed Impact Crushing: The main shaft rotates at 800–1200 rpm, driving multiple high-manganese steel impact plates. Sand lumps are thrown outward by centrifugal force and violently collide with high-chrome cast iron anvil liners fixed on the housing—achieving multi-stage crushing through impact, shear, and rebound.
Particle Size Control: Crushed sand exits through a bottom adjustable grate screen, with particle size controlled by screen aperture (typically Φ20–Φ40 mm) for consistent discharge.
Overload Protection: Equipped with mechanical or hydraulic safety devices—automatically unloads or shuts down upon foreign object entry (e.g., metal pieces, casting scraps), protecting the main shaft and impact plates.
