Product Description of Clay Sand Production Line
The clay sand production line is an efficient and automated sand processing system specifically designed for the production of cast iron and cast steel parts, and is suitable for the wet sand molding (Green Sand Molding) process. This production line uses natural bentonite and water as binders, and mixes the raw sand, old sand, bentonite and water in precise proportions to produce high-quality clay molding sand with stable performance, good fluidity and strong air permeability. It is widely used in the molding production of black metal castings such as automotive parts, machine tool castings, valve and pipe fittings, and agricultural machinery accessories.
The entire line features a modular design, integrating sand conveying, magnetic separation, crushing, mixing, cooling, and automatic control. With high automation, stable operation, easy maintenance, and energy-saving features, it enables a closed-loop recycling process from spent sand to fresh sand preparation—significantly improving casting efficiency and surface quality.

Spent Sand Recovery & Conveying
Bucket elevators or belt conveyors transport used sand from shakeout to the system for continuous feeding.
Crushing & Screening
Vibratory crushers or drum screens break up lumps and remove impurities, restoring sand to a loose, flowable state.
Magnetic Separation
High-strength magnetic separators effectively remove metal contaminants such as iron beans and filings, ensuring sand purity.
Sand Mixing
Twin-rotor counter-flow or continuous mixers precisely add bentonite, coal powder, and water for high-speed, uniform mixing, ensuring consistent sand properties.
Sand Temperature Control & Cooling (Optional)
Cooling belt or vibrating coolers maintain sand temperature between 35–45°C, preventing performance degradation in hot weather.
Automatic Fresh Sand Addition
The system automatically adds new sand based on consumption to maintain sand balance.
Intelligent Centralized Control
PLC + HMI control system enables full automation, parameter setting, fault alarms, data logging, and remote monitoring.
